The universe is currently offering a deeper understanding of the energy of time and cycles and opportunity for each of us to bring this knowing into a place that may help us all see the past, present and future more clearly. Time is relative to each of us. If we imagine our brain like a computer and each of the folders like a day in time, we can understand how our consciousness stores memory. We may create a file on our computer in 2002 but if we go back and edit that file and re-save it in 2017, it remains in the same space on our hard drives, we have just re-written it. We can do this with our memory as well to serve us. We actually do it all the time, just not fully conscious…yet! I will get back to that.
The purpose of time is to organize our experiences and memory in a way they make sense and are easily accessible for present creation. It truly isn’t linear in the way we view it, but instead folds forward and backward on itself all of the time. If we go through a year for example, choosing to be completely plugged into the matrix, not empowering ourselves, or learning, our time simply goes in a circle along with our consciousness. This happens because we are only creating from past experiences and memories, which simply create the same reality in a different space. We are not changing, only the people and places around us. Eventually you will circle back around to the same lessons, the same opportunities, even the same moments. They don’t go away because we ignore them. Because we are going around like a merry go round, everything looks almost exactly the same. It may be the same partner, with a different name and hair color but exactly the same energy. Or a different boss or friend or waiter at the restaurant. The players are the same, only their costumes have changed. The opportunity to grow from the experience and learn the lesson will keep coming back until you finally get it. Like playing a video game and you can’t advance to the next level until you have passed the board. You keep playing the same part over and over.
If we choose, in that same year, to empower ourselves, release victim mentality, begin making conscious choices and working on expanding our consciousness, our time does the same. Instead of going in circles of time, time begins to expand outward with our consciousness and begins to form a spiral. Now, we are still going through the same fields of opportunity but things are much different because there is more space between them, which creates more energy, aka and opportunity. We have a better vantage point and can see things from other perspectives, giving us a deeper understanding or all together new.
In this perspective of time, time may appear to go faster because you are more aware of it but it will most certainly feel more full. Why? Because we store memories based on the level of emotion we have in them. The emotional response tells us how important the moment is and asks for our attention. The key is working through the emotions to a reach a point of understanding and peace. When we get to a place where the memory feels good, we know we have worked through all of its opportunity. We are naturally drawn to do this but when in a victim mentality, it becomes rehashing and regret, which only feeds the negative energy and deepens the need for understanding the lesson. When we remove the ego, which was necessary to take notice of the moment but has now served its purpose, we can see the opportunity more clearly and expand from the experience. From this point, you can now look back and re-member the moment and the energy of growth verses the emotional pain or sorrow that was there before calling for attention. The attention is no longer needed because the moment has already gifted you with its lesson.
Now that we understand this level of time and its relativity to consciousness, we can have an honest discussion with ourselves as to how much we are going in circles or expanding outward in awareness. We can look for patterns in our life, which gives us multiple examples to pull from and further clarity. We can also begin to predict the future based on where we are on our current timeline, compared to our memories in the past. This gives us a huge vantage point in decision making, especially in repeating or not repeating the same mistakes. Mistakes are simply decisions that get us to point A when we wanted to go to point B. You wouldn’t add peaches to a pie 100 times and be angry at the pie when it doesn’t come out as apple. Yet we do this in life daily.
Look at the past month of your life, the past six months and year. Ask yourself what feels familiar. What have you been working on that you are still working on? If you have key players in your life, who do they represent from your past and is the relationship healed with this new person or still showing the same imbalances as before? Do you feel you are going in circles or can you see the expansion and spiral beginning to form? What is your top three priorities in life? Are you dedicating the majority of your time and energy to these priorities? Based on where you are today, what do you see coming tomorrow?
1 cup almonds or almond flour
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup hemp seeds
2 cups raisins
1/4 cup cacao butter, melted
1 1/2 cups cashews
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons of reishi powder
1 cup dates
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1/6 cup maple syrup or
1 cup brazil nuts
3 tablespoons of spirulina
1/4 cup mint leaves
1 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup almonds
1/2 cup strawberries
1/8 cup chopped beet
1/6 cup maple syrup or honey
3 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons red maca powder
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
To make the crust: Grind almonds or almond flour with oats in a food processor. Once you get a nice flour consistency, add the raisins and process until you get a sticky, moist dough. Press into the bottom of a lined springform pan. I used standard 9-inch springform cake pan but a 6-inch would give thicker layers and work just fine. Leave in the fridge while you make each layer.
To make each layer: Simply blend the ingredients for each until smooth and thick. You’ll end up with a white vanilla mixture, a green mint layer and a pink strawberry layer. Spread each successively into the cake pan in the order you want, and leave the freezer overnight so the cake can set and flavors can develop. Decorate with berries, flowers, nuts, mint leaves, seeds, whatever you like! Injoy!
*I originally saw a version of this cheesecake on This Rawsome Vegan Life and wanted to supercharge it a little, adding my favorite superfoods to each layer. I love the result and am so grateful for their inspiration!
It appears the pattern coming into my realty lately is that of loss. Loss is something that no one wants to face and deal with, which is perhaps the reason it has chosen to come when releasing judgement is at the forefront of our evolution. Loss of loved ones is quite possibly the most challenging of them all and places us front and center with our own mortality and the fear of death.
Losing a loved one recently gave me the opportunity to reevaluate my level of acceptance with time and how much each of us has during this earth walk. What I found was I had the same knowing of time in this experience as I do the rest…it is irrelevant.
We are here to do one thing and that is to be. The purpose of our being is to expand to our chosen frequency. We do this journeying through the earth realm, at our own pace, making our own choices and experiencing this existence at our leisure. Each moment adding to the previous and the next, creating one huge collective moment.
Our life is a moment, made up of an unmeasured amount of microcosmic moments, each one expanding to its fullest potential before beginning again to create anew. Of course the basic foundation of our day would be a small reflection of the larger picture, reflecting as above, so below in pure perfection. Our life is simply one huge moment and our purpose is to expand that moment to its fullest capacity and then we are done.
How do we do this? Through frequency. We are the vibration and sound that defines space. Our first dimension created the space. Our second dimension created the vibration. This vibration then filled the space and created a response, which was sound. These sounds were the building blocks of reality that resulted in the physical third dimension. We are the physical manifestation of this process, each a unique response and frequency from the other.
If you have seen sound reverberated on salt, it creates intricate geometric patterns and the slightest shift changes the entire pattern. This is what we are. We are extremely complex vibrational patterns, combined with the three 3rd dimensional elements; fire, water and earth.
Like beating on a drum, the moment begins with each swing of the mallet and completes when the closing ring of the beat and then silence. This is our life. Our first heartbeat begins our moment and the last beat closes the loop. What’s between the beats is our story. We write every second of it through our emotions. Our frequency has been chosen with our first breath and it is our responsibility to reach the pinnacle of our chosen sound and then we are complete and ready to move on to our next creation. This life experience is just one beat in the symphony of our soul.
The important part for us is knowing we are in complete creation of how we reach that frequency. For example, if we want to experience the frequency of sadness, we can choose many experiences to get this done. The important part to the soul is the exact point on the spectrum that this frequency holds. If it’s the 100th degree of sadness, your soul will create the opportunity for that experience and your sub-conscious will fill it with it’s learned interpretation of what that level of sadness is. For some beings it could be seeing a puppy die. For others it could be losing a loved one or experiencing heartbreak with a lover. Another example would be the frequency of disempowerment. For some it would be being robbed at gunpoint, for others it would be going bankrupt or being raped. The frequency is not attached to how or why…our ego is responsible for that. The memories, experiences and influences will fill in the blanks with what it knows and what it has to create the story that lands just the right strength to attain the intended drumbeat.
Understanding the process, the purpose and our role in creating our story, empowers us to trust ourselves and relax into the moment. The goal is not 100 years of life but expanding each moment toward who you chose in your destiny to be. The bonus points come from consciously choosing the way we experience each expansion of our frequency and appreciating every moment without judgement.
See what I did there!
Tor and I have been working on ourselves in a such a deep process for the past twelve years, fine tuning our inner temple, that it wasn’t immediately obvious that our outer temple wasn’t as much in alignment as we would like it to be. Naturally our diet, habits and practices have shifted during this process and our choices are much more conscious than they were a decade ago but something shifted the end of this year and we realized our focus needed to be balancing the inner and outer in 2017.
In comes the year of the temple. Our intention is to fully commit and bring in consistency with eliminating gluten, dairy and processed sugar. We are also committing to three days a week in the gym, brining back adventure fridays where we go somewhere new every Friday and working in our garden sanctuary at least twice a week. We will strengthen our daily journaling, meditating and affirmations.
In our quest for understanding why the outer frequency isn’t naturally aligning with all of the layers, limitations and imbalances we have released within, we realized we are inviting in a deeper relationship with discipline. I have the habit of staying busy with whatever my recent obsession is, while Tor leans on the side of procrastination filling his time with distractions. While we both come out the other side with much to show for our time and accomplishments, it’s often not in the areas we think we are choosing.
Inviting ourselves to decide what our priorities are and dedicating an equal amount of time as we have desire is our biggest challenge for this amazing new year.
The feeling we both had when celebrating the closing of 2016 and preparing for 2017 was that it is a time for being. We prepared so much for the shift of 2012 and have spent the four years since clearing out, working through, burning off, releasing, rebuilding, fine tuning, structuring, tearing down and recalibrating…over and over and over…and now it’s time to be in the new energy and experience what we have worked so hard toward.
We are inviting and celebrating the art of being…being in grace and ease and abundance. So it is. Aho!
For Christmas I decided to create a gift set of conscious body products for all my girls. I created soaps, sugar scrub, bath salts, body butter and a herbal dream pillow. All of the products were organic, high vibrational and infused with crystal essence, light language and love!
From the moment I began mixing the herbs, every cell in my body starting buzzing and light language began pouring from my heart. The chants felt pure and sacred and I realized that prayers, affirmations, intentions, spells, chants, light language…it is all simply forms of our vibration and frequency merging with the aka/mana/energy of reality to give a wholistic synergy to what we are creating.
We get so wrapped up in words and technicalities but often times we are all walking a similar path with a similar goal. My inner witch burst to the surface and reminded me of a time when my hands were intimate with the earth in a way that so many of us have forgotten in our technological and disconnected lives.
Creating a product for my ohana and myself that was not only birthed from quality ingredients but sourced from imagination, ancient memories and techniques made me excited about every aspect. It inspired me to plant my own herbs, cultivate my own ingredients and reconnect with the abundance the aina supplies us with everyday that literally feed our bodies, minds and spirit.
I am a witch, a shaman, a doctor, an artist, a woman, an alchemist, a spirit, a goddess, a lover…A CREATOR and I am limitless.
Time, in the way we understand it, is an illusion. Like an echo, time works with frequency to thread moments together to create life. There is only one original source of sound but as it ripples through space it gives the appearance of multiple sounds. As human beings, this is what we are to each other. Our memories manafest from one moment to the next, allowing us access to all versions of ourselves simultaneously.
As a society, we are so quick to judge the ignorance of another person that after compiling all of their unique and individual experiences, isn’t reaching the same version of truth as we are. Even though the laws of physics make it impossible for us to all have the same viewpoint of reality, we walk through life expecting it to come within impossible degrees of each other. As a spiritual community, we are so quick to judge the level of awareness and empowerment that another person has, while the fundamentals of authentically connecting to spirit requires the knowing that everything is connected at its core essence.
It is time to understand at a cellular level what it means to say “we are all simply other versions of each other.” This is not a metaphor to make you feel connected and more passionate…it is truth. When we shift our awareness and truth, we physically shift our frequency and vibration to reflect and project that new understanding. In the same way changing a chord or a drum beat in a song will create an entirely new melody, shifting our frequency of truth makes us entirely unrecognizable. All of these people in society that we deem “asleep, disempowered and so obviously different from who we are,” are merely us in a less expanded version of ourselves. We have shifted so much that we are unrecognizable to ourselves, in both the previous version and the current. We meet, speak and exchange, not knowing we are the same being in a different moment of truth.
When we let go of our old way of thinking and being, it doesn’t disappear, it simply remains a distant energetic memory that is unrecognizable in our new frequency and is expressed through another person in reality. When we have an exchange with them, the way we choose to interact is literally co-creating the experience that we, in that timeline, are having…as well as the moment we are currently occupying in this consciousness. By choosing a compassionate exchange, you are not only shifting the current moment you are experiencing but are simultaneously re-dreaming and shifting the memory you have in that previous version of your self. We are all simply each other in different moments of our evolution, on different timelines, simultaneously experiencing Life in one giant moment.
Often I get the question, “What Can I Do Now?” After the big decision to join the journey and the excitement of the commitment, it creates the motivation and instinct to move forward but the instant gratification isn’t there due to time waiting for the workshop or retreat date to arrive. My answer is always to listen and invite the universe to show you your next steps. The act of inviting spirit automatically creates the response. This usually results in the request for something more tangible and to that I give you the 1% of 5 intention.
- Begin with separating your life into the 5 main categories; Health, Love, Career, Family, Spiritual. Rate each individually with how satisfied you are…1 being not satisfied at all, 8 being absolutely satisfied.
- Rank them in order, beginning with what is currently most important to you.
- Go through each and list 3 things you could do to increase the satisfaction number by at least 1. Ideally, the three items would be (a) one thing you can do immediately (b) one you can do within the next six months and (c) one you can do within the year.
- Once you have your entire list, review it every day, preferably in the morning and again at night. It works well to use a journal to record your progress.
The idea is if you do 1% every day towards at least one item, you will consistently see progress and results rather quickly. As soon as we recognize our priorities and set intentions, the universe and our own consciousness begin to work in the background to give us momentum.
One question to ask yourself…does the majority of your energy support your goals? Does the majority of what you tell yourself is important align with your list? I often hear people say they want a partner and love but they spend all of their energy on their career or vice versa. It’s important to align your energy and effort with your priorities….which sounds simple and it is, but it is the number one interference with making our dreams our reality.
